Lately!

Clayton had his Colonoscopy & Endoscopy on January 26th. The prep for this procedure was long and hard! He had Breakfast the morning of the 25th, but could not eat again till the night of the 26th. It was so hard for him, I felt bad he could not eat. He saw a commercial of food and got so EXCITED! Then turned sad when he could not eat. He had to drink Myrilax to clean out his system & believe me it did. Those diapers were by far the worst I have ever had to change. The day of the procedure was long we were at Children's hospital from 11:30am till about 5:30pm
Clayton was away from us for about 2 hours! I was so worried. When the doctor came out to tell us that the procedure was over I was excited thinking OK good news hear we come, but it was not. They found a colon ulcer & his large intestines were not OK. The doctor said he would run tests and tell us in about a week. This was not what I wanted to hear. All kind of thoughts went through my head. I cried for about 20mins or so till I was able to see Clayton. When I saw him he was miserable he was kicking, screaming, rolling around & did not want anything. I have NEVER seen Clay so upset. It broke my heart! All I could think was never again do I want him to go through this. After about 2 hours of the screaming he fell asleep. Everything was peaceful! I sat that just wondering what was going to happen. We were released from the hospital once Clay was stable. We ended going to my parents right after for dinner & for me to just relax for a bit while my family helped with Clayton.
After a few days of waiting we got a call with Clay's test results I was worried when the nurse called, but when the time came the nurse said EVERYTHING LOOKS GOOD! I was so relieved!
The results are that Clay is HEALING from an INFECTION, which means the worse is over! My big boy made it through! The doctors will still keep an eye on him to make sure he is healing right. Ah I am so relieved the worse is over & soon enough Clay will be 100% better! We pray now that it does not come back!

YAY FOR HEALTHY STRONG CLAYTON! I am so relieved this is over & that we can finally just relax knowing that he is all BETTER!

He had an IV in and hated it so much, they finally could take it out and he loved the bandaid  so much more!
